Searching…Finding Joy and God’s Desire

Every man on earth has been created according to the Potter’s desire and will. Therefore, every man needs to find what that desire and will is before he is deeply satisfied and leads a meaningful life.

At the age of 48 I can testify that I have found this joy and satisfaction and am so bold to say it has met my deepest need. Why? Because it is the reason I was made and am alive. The Potter has a specific design for me, one of His vessels.

I was the youngest of three children in a middle class family living in rural America and was looking for something real. Even at a young age I knew I was empty and unsatisfied. One day I simply turned my hardened, rebellious, angry heart to Jesus, who is God, and responded, “I believe,” to His call: “Come to Me.” That instant I received the divine, uncreated life of God and even though tears were streaming down my face, I had found an inner joy.

With the joy of having received God’s life into my being came all the characteristics, nature and desires of this life. Eternity had entered into my heart. I longed to read the Bible, talk to others about this Jesus, and experience the oneness of the Body of Christ. Eight years later this desire began its journey of satisfaction, which He Himself had put into me. The Potter brought this vessel into His satisfaction and desire when I came to my first large meeting of the local church in my locality. There, believers were holding to the name of Jesus, loving the Bible, and caring for one another according to the divine human life of Jesus. Deep within was an AMEN! This is it. He began to fill this vessel with His nature and life, so I could become part of His corporate bride. I felt I had entered into His satisfaction.

My husband and I have been meeting with the brothers and sisters for 25 years and it just keeps getting better. Within the local church I have touched God’s life because the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee has brought us into the experience of life. The first book I read, The Release of the Spirit, by Watchman Nee caused me to enjoy the Lord’s presence and helped to maintain the flow of life within me. When I heard Witness Lee’s voice on a reel to reel tape I knew this was life and it matched the need and desire within me.

Lord, thank You for all these years of dispensing Your life, love, light, enjoyment into me through this wonderful ministry. I have found the Potter’s desire and purpose and meaning for my life. God became a man so that man could match Him in life and in nature but not in the Godhead to fulfill His desire. I am indebted to this ministry for helping me to grow spiritually. This ministry has caused me to love God, the Bible, believers, and people. I wish I could speak of all the wonderful times I have had in the presence of the Lord through Witness Lee’s books, as well as those by Watchman Nee
